Quality as a matter
of course

Our quality management always works according to the following guiding theme:

Quality is never coincidence. It is always the result of high goals, sincere effort, an intelligent approach and skillful execution.

The three pillars of our quality policy

Quality Policy

The quality policy of Isabellenhütte includes all corporate processes and interested parties and represents our quality standard for a process and customer-oriented organization.

Meeting all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements is a basic component of our quality policy.

The permanent satisfaction of our customers is the key to Isabellenhütte's sustainable economic success and growth.

Always Get Better –
That Is Our Goal

Isabellenhütte is a technology leader with many of its products. Being able to perceive this pioneering role and develop it further requires a consistent focus on constant product and process improvements.

Our quality management system is certified according to the standards DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016. In addition, Isabellenhütte is certified as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), which guarantees high security and compliance standards in the international movement of goods.

Isabellenhütte is certified according to the ESCC system of the European Space Agency (ESA) and is thus approved as a "qualified supplier" for aerospace applications of resistors.

The application of these quality management systems lived in all company areas achieves a systematic planning, monitoring and control of organizational and technical processes.

DAkkS accredited laboratory at Isabellenhütte

Calibrations by DAkkS laboratories allow users to trust in the reliability of measurement results. At the same time, they increase confidence in the competitiveness of national and international markets. Within the framework of quality management, they form the basis for controlling measurement and test equipment.

The German accreditation system was converted on January 1, 2010 pursuant to Regulation (EC) no. 765/2008.  The accreditation body of the "Deutscher Kalibrerdienst" (DKD), with which the Isabellenhütte had been accredited since 1982, became the German accreditation body – the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) – with effect from 17.12.2009.

DAkkS is now the national accreditation body for the Federal Republic of Germany. It acts in the public interest in accordance with Regulation (EC) no. 765/2008 and the German Accreditation Act (AkkStelleG) as the sole provider of accreditation services in Germany.

DAkkS tests the tester

DAkkS is appointed by the German government to provide accreditation of laboratories, inspection and certification bodies (known as conformity assessment bodies).

As an independent body, DAkkS examines, confirms and monitors the technical competence of these bodies, the services of which are required in virtually all areas of trade and industry. Customers range from small laboratories to multi-national companies.

Accreditation confirms to the laboratories, etc. that these bodies are carrying out their activities with technical competence and in compliance with applicable requirements.

Isabellenhütte, calibration laboratory for 32 years, accredited by DAkkS since November 2014

In 2014, in order to meet the new requirements while maintaining its tried and tested characteristics, the Isabellenhütte invested a mid six-figure amount in hardware, software and personnel. The laboratory was completely rebuilt, resistance measuring methods were re-implemented and new calibration procedures for measuring currents were added.

In this way, the Isabellenhütte guarantees that it has the necessary competence to perform calibrations in compliance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 on behalf of customers in the following areas:

Electrical measured values
Direct current and low frequency measured values

  • direct voltage
  • direct current intensity
  • direct current resistance

Thermodynamic measured values

  • resistance thermometers
  • thermocouples
  • direct reading thermometers

The DAkkS temperature calibrations are carried out according to following procedures of Calibration Guide of Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD), published by the Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt:

  • DKD-R 5-1:2018 for resistance thermometers and direct reading thermometers with resistance sensor and
  • DKD-R 5-3:2018 for thermocouples and direct reading thermometers with thermocouple sensor.

Please find the measurement range and conditions as well as the expanded uncertainties of measurement in the annex to our accreditation certificate.
