Our measurement technology in green energy sources
Wind- and solar power are the keys to a sustainable future. But how can we ensure that these renewable sources are used optimally? The answer lies in precise current measurement. Whether for private solar installations or large wind farms, accurately recording the energy generated is crucial for efficiency, planning and cost savings. The downstream feed into the electricity distribution grid requires the highest precision in current measurement, for which Isabellenhütte has the appropriate portfolio.

Clean energy generation through efficient wind turbines
Wind energy harnesses the natural power of the wind to generate electricity using innovative wind technology and is therefore a clean, renewable energy source. Its targeted use helps to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and nuclear energy and ensure a sustainable, reliable power supply at national level.
Shunts are essential for the reliable and safe operation of wind turbines and play an important role in regulating power, protecting components and maximizing energy efficiency. Current measurement is crucial for a safe, efficient and long-lasting wind turbine.

Precise current measurement for efficient solar technology
The sun is an important source of energy that provides us with light and heat every day. Its radiation contains valuable energy that can be used to generate electricity.
Solar cells convert this solar energy into direct current. Inverters are required to feed this into the alternating current-based power grid.
Our portfolio includes high-precision sensors for current measurement in inverters, which ensure high efficiency and increase system reliability. In this way, we make a decisive contribution to making renewable energies more efficient and economical to use.
High
precision
Low temperature coefficients and tight tolerances.
Low resistance values
Low resistance values from 5µOhm for high continuous currents.
High overall accuracy
High measuring system resolution and low drift over service life.
Precise measurement technology for renewable energies
Whether for the frequency conversion of AC currents generated in wind turbines or the merging of large DC string currents generated in ground-mounted photovoltaic systems via central inverters - the downstream feed into the electricity distribution grid requires the highest precision in current measurement. Modern inverter technology requires fast and precise measured value acquisition for precise control of the IGBT modules.
In addition, digitalization directly at the shunt measurement tap using delta-sigma modulation by the IPC-SERIES results in a measurement signal that is particularly insensitive to interference. This is particularly advantageous in the highly EMC-loaded inverter environment.
